GDC No. 1864
Denise qualified as a dental hygienist at the Royal Naval Dental School in Portsmouth in 1979 and after qualification worked as a tutor hygienist at a London teaching hospital. Following this she was employed by Marks and Spencer and B.P. and then moved into private practice in the West End of London.
Subsequently she moved to Godalming, and joined the Mews dental clinic in 1996.
Denise enjoys helping to educate and encourage patients to improve their dental health. By treating patients as individuals, she is able to work with them to prevent gum disease or help to stabilise more advanced gum problems. Denise says ‘I get a real buzz from the improvement that I can help a patient achieve. Some patients may initially be reluctant or nervous regarding treatment and I feel that I am particularly good at reassuring them and giving them confidence with their smile’.
Living locally in Godalming with her husband and two daughters, in what spare time she has, Denise enjoys playing tennis and walking in the Surrey countryside.
Denise continues to update her knowledge and skills within the profession by attending regular courses and is a member of the British Dental Hygienist Association and attends their annual conference.
